unable to open nsf door.

Hi,
I am unable to open NSF door. The cable on the inside door handle is all frayed to hell and outside handle won't open door. Any ideas please ?

If you can get in the car? Lower the glass and with a wedge push the glass toward the inside of the car (don't over do it or it will break) get a torch and look down on the lock actuator. With a bit of stiff wire you should be able to push/pull on the white part which should open the door. You should be able to see which lever you need to move. If you are not sure push and pull all the levers.

The lock actuator is much lower down from the handle

Fire the butler and get a new one that does open doors

Did you get the door open ?? Always nice to hear the result like how you did it?

Not yet. I have had to order a new latch as nothing I did opened the door. I'll let you know how things go .

Sorry health problems meant that I was unable to work on the car for some time.
I followed the instructions in this link.
Door Lock Failure: Getting the Door Open (4.0/4.6/p38A)
It worked for the car and also let me take out some stress on something that couldn't hit back.
Everything works now the way it should.
