U-pol acid#8 and high#5

I am doing some body work on my series III SWB - filling a hole and few dents and scratches using U-pol p40 for the hole and p38 for the dents and scrathes.

As I am doing the bodywork on the entire vehicle little by little (have to work now and again) I am planning to leave the final spray paint job for a while - maybe a month or two. I keep the vehicle under roof, or covered with a tarp.

Can anyone tell me if spraying the repaired areas, first with acid#8 and then high#5 (suggested in other thread), will be sufficient protection until I do the spray paint job in a month or two, or do I need to protect the repairs further? - and in that case, with what?

personally i would use brown brothers (part of unipart) bodyline etch primer its what most of the trade uses and its cheaper than the u-pol

I am downloading the pdf at the moment, but as I am currently in Liberia, Africa, my connection is darned unstable and slow.

How long is it adviceable to leave the BB etch primer as the outer layer before starting the final paint job?

i doubt you will find a brown brothers out there i would wait til yer get to blighty to buy it! as little time as possible as primers are not suitable as a top coat, you need to get a layer of paint over them as soon as you can

Yeah! Not much Brown Brothers to be found out here. Will be back home coming weekend though, and will simply add a coat of some paint on top of each repair. Guess I can leave it like that while I complete the other repairs and then just give them all a light sanding before adding the proper paint.

Got some brand new doors from Paddocks, delivered in a light grey finish, but belive that they should be fine although I don't know what treatment they have received. Would you know this as well?

that 'should' be a kind of gelcoat to stop it rusting while in storage most new body pannels are coated in it
