This is lazy 'cos I've no doubt there's thread after thread on the topic (Darling Ops, please let my post ride as you know I'm special :0) x I've only got a day to make a decision and I'm proper snowed under at work so I can't have fitters phoning me all day with quotes and no time to research the forum.

I'd rather not pay the Goodrich Price (cheapest I've found is ASDA - £716.20). They'll deliver four all terrains on the day of fitting to a local fitter, and the price includes new valves, balancing, old tyre disposal and VAT.

I'm a road driver (don't do mud). Tarmac roads including motorway. 8k miles a year max. I can have four coopers fitted for 500 quid. What should I do?

Do you have a link to this? I am beginning my search for a new set of tyres (same size as you) to replace the goodrich I currently have.

In your position however I would fit the coopers. you do not do the mileage to warrant the longer life span of the Goodrich which is a lot of what you are paying for in the price tag.

Actually Kwik fit came in at £685 for 4 in the end. ASDA link here. Just type in BF Goodrich and size https://www.asdatyres.co.uk/265-75-16

Coopers all day lo g, I've run them for a good few years, hard laning and offroading and lots of road work, never even had a puncture, bfg imo is overpriced and you're paying for the name and white letters on ya tyres

I've got Cooper Discoverer AT3 Sport 2 205/80 on the Lightweight as of a couple of months ago, replacing some over tall Goodyear Wranglers which I thought were ok, but just didn't look right. Wrong. The handling's way sharper (more than I'd expect for a couple of centimetres off the sidewall) braking definitely better.

I also have Cooper Zeon 4XS Sport 235/70 R16 on the project, but since I'm a bone idle **** all I can tell you is that they roll in and out of the workshop every couple of years with enormous aplomb. Look nice too.

Iron man All Country. Don't know if you can get them across the pond. They're the best AT for the money I have come across yet. $480 for 4 mounted and balanced and out the door.

But which Coopers?

@v8250 chose Discoverer STT Pro, presumably with an off road bias.

For some off road I chose Discoverer AT3 Sport 2.

And for fast road and croquet lawns Zeon 4XS Sport.
