Sometime you need to check the simple things first!

I have had my TD5 90 for just over 6 weeks and have always thought that the ride was a little hard especially when going over bumps in the road.

The last Landy that I drove regularly was a 200tdi 90, and I didn't remember that begin as harsh, but that was over 10 years ago so I just assumed I had got soft from driving a "normal" car.

I have been researching whether I could soften the ride with new shock and dampers, but I noticed one of the tyres was a bit soft this morning; so I checked the pressures. OMG no wonder the ride was harsh the fronts were nearly 40psi and the rears were 45psi. Checked the handbook and LR recommend 28 front and 38 at the rear for standard tyres on a 90 (which is what I have 235/85 R16 General Grabbers).

So pumped up the soft tyre and let the other down to the recommended pressure and what a difference, much better.
