Tyre Load index on large tyres

Am looking at 285/35x22 tyres (form an orderly queue to begin bitching ), and most seem to have a Load Index of 106, but have been told as RR's are so heavy, they should be 111?

Is this right, a myth, or someone being over cautious?

IIRC the standard 18 inch tyres should have a load index of 109; so I can't conceive another size would be any less).

Can't muck about with brakes, tyres and other such safety stuff...if in doubt don't get something not up to the job.
