First, has anyone ever had problems with 'creaky' suspension and if so what is the problem and how can i fix it?I recently had a new pump fitted for the EAS so would this have anything to do with it?
Second, I'm struggling to remove the centre console side panel to access the usual 'O' ring problem, I've followed instructions from a video but still had no success. Is it possible mine has a different set up from the one in the video? Mine is a '99 V reg 4.6 HSE.
Thanks for the help.

You must be having the same problem i had trying to change the bulbs in the Hevac unit, but after removing the 2 screws in the side panels You MUST get a flat bladed screwdriver or similar inbetween the joint half way up the panels to 'break' the sprag clip joint downwards and then they just pull away easy.
Cheers

These panels are a pain to remove especially the first time as they are tight and the knack of pulling and lifting is an aquired skill!!
Your P38 is no different in this respect to earlier models.

thanks for the help, managed to sort out the 'o' ring problem. About a pint of water came out of the pipes so we found it useful to use a short length of guttering to put under it leading onto the drive, saves the carpets getting wet! now for the creaky suspension...
