I want to fit another fuel tank to one of my 110s as part of it's conversion to run mainly on SVO - this second smaller capacity tank will be for the diesel and would idealy NOT be one of those plastic marine tanks that just sit inside the vehicle.

Does anyone know if this is a standard LR part?

landrover long range fuel tank - eBay Land Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 30-Sep-07 16:34:26 BST)

It would be allmost ideal for what i want, the other alternative would be one of these

buy a tank from a kit car manuf - there are dozens of different designs to choose from.

but that one does look like the second fuel tank

yer i've seen plenty about that could be made to fit but i'd quite like one thats designed for the purpose and doesnt look like Mr Robinson designed it

have you ever seen that top ebay item before ? - just wondering if its a custom tank or a puker LR part

sean there is a second tank for the 110 , or , you could fit a 90 tank.
both go under the drivers seat.

i've only owned a 90 for about 3 hours - so is under the seat where the tank is normally in a 90?

you mention a second tank for a 110 - part numbers?

ntc2089 looks the same as a 90 tank but is listed in the 110 parts book as an extra fuel tank for a pick up, ntc2110 looks the same as the e bay tank and is listed as a 10 gallon second tank for a 110 station wagon.

the difference being , as far as i can tell is the latter is for a 5 door 110.

cheers for that, that looks to be too easy i cant understand why peeps who have done the twin tank thing for veg oil put up with having the nasty plastic tank on the inside - hmmm having now seen the cost of the tank the plastic ones seem more attractive

you may find the td5 tanks have a prob with any thing othere than dev the fillter has a retern valve that gets blocket and will only run with more than 1/2 a tank
dont no if the prob will still be there with bio or if you are running fat
