Turbo vent filter

Hi guys I've noticed my td4 is without the turbo vent filter and I've ordered a new one. Can someone tell me if it's supposed to be open on one end? Or have a little black cap on it? Thanks in advance

It's the one on left behind the sir filter

Open one end. It is a breather filter to the air.
Originally they had about 5mm of rubber pipe pushed on to make it hold in the clip, but it was not a cap.
