Turbo specific oil?

I've searched the how to, the engine forum and a generic search. 50 pages and still not sure.
What weight oil does an L series 2 litre Freelander take and is there a recommended brand?
And I'm assuming it's a turbocharged unit?
I want to look after the car as best I can so new fluids and filters are this months paypacket expenses.

Thanks for the polite replies. Any recommendation on brand?
My old cougar was very oil specific which is why I asked.
Or alternatively you could just flame the **** out of me again. It's great keyboard skills practice.

Cougar's do need good lube at their age.

Always just ran my l series on 10W-40 A3/B4 spec. Good quality semi synth
