I am replacing the standard core with a hybrid one and enjoying the delights of getting the four bolts undone. I have resorted to extreme violence, so I will need to replace the four bolts. Does anybody know what size they are? I know they should be 1/2 inch, but thats all.

Which bolts specifically?

Standard with hybrid, what does that mean? Are you fitting a new turbo, or new turbo cassette?

It means I am replacing the standard turbo core, with a hybrid turbo core?

The four that hold the exhaust manifold onto the turbo core (the ones holding the U shape brackets on. I know they are 1/2 but nothing other than that and it dosent seem to be a common part.

I'm confused. 200 has studs on the manifold x4 which are metric. They are a pig to get off normally but I suspect you mean the bolts holding the alloy turbine housing to the cast iron turbo bit? Dunno about them.

I see
Anything on the hot side of turbos can be a real sod to undo.
You need to know bolt/nuts are measured by the diameter of the threaded bit and not their spanner/hex size, so if they are 1/2 inch spanner size which I doubt as they are most likely metric which will make them M8 which normally takes a 13mm spanner
They will be short buggers as well, so if you search google/ebay something like M8X10 bolt you will see what I mean

100% they are 1/2 and not 13mm!
I can't get the snapped studs out of the manifold they are welded / rusted in place. I have bought a new (well new to me!) manifold off marketplace for £50 and that has the nuts and U shaped bracket with it - its going to be cheaper to do that than get a garage to drill and tap them.

The giant circlip is the next drama, this is rapidly turning into one of those jobs I wish I got someone else to do!

Circlip is okay if you have the pliers, mine were at work so I just used screwdrivers, you need to tap it around first to free it up.

Broken stud removal kits on ebay, hardest bit is getting the drill central in the broken stud.
