Turbo rebuild

i am looking at getting my turbo rebuild,
can anyone recommend a good company for this
i have called approx 4 and they are all over the place ref pricing

its for the 200tdi i have fitted

failing that what other turbo can be fitted ie 300 tdi one ??

I can't recommend anywhere in particular but expect it to be expect it to be expensive. As for 300tdi turbos onto 200tdi, i've heard it's been done but not sure what sort of job that would be. Might just be a manifold swap but I doubt it's that simple...

Got 300 turbo on 200 tdi 90 that I just sold.

Used 300 manifolds and intercooler and pipes as they are different, 300 inlet manifold a little larger diameter than 200 as is intercooler.

Had to use 300 exhaust downpipe but the engine mount is in the way so had to alter pipe to fit

Otherwise easy and it goes very well

what prices btw?

think they are around £530 new btw.

So far the price I have is between £200-£335 + vat to rebuild mine
that was with turbo techniques

When mine went I got a new one of the evil bay from a company in Telford I think £360 ish but mine is the 300
One sec let me go have a root through my big box of receipts see if I can find the company for ya

yeah, from a quick look the 300 is a lot cheaper than the 200 :dizzy:

Yes i noticed that the 300 is cheaper
but to change over would be a ball ache
