turbo problems

Hi all

I've only just joined your exclusive club, and i already have questions????

my disco has been short of power lately,i put this down to a hole in the exhaust but now i've fitted a new one the problem is the same.
I've carried out a turbo boost pressur check as discribed in the Haynes manual ( b***ard book ) but not sure i conected it to the right hose as the books not to clear(believe it or not) . and the gauge is not even moving.any help would be greatfully received.

i have two turbo's in me porn draw doing nothing ....... you aint havin umm or owt i just wanted to rub salt in....

I keep porn in my porn draw not turbos, i knew i was doing somthing wrong.

any help on the turbo front???

not an expert on turbo's , can ya tell ?? , the only thing i can suggest is to check all the hoses for splits and cracks ... and check yer intercooler pipes and hoses aswell .....

If yer keep Tuirbos (or anything else landroverry and mechanical) in yer porn drawer, it exponentially reduces the chances of being found out by yer doris!!

Oh yeah, the question - sounds like it might be filters - have you changed the air and fuel filters lately?

correct ... you should use a very deep draw un put all yer pornary at the back .....

changed both not long ago.

check there are no small holes in full line could be drawing air

i'VE NOW STRIPPED THE TURBO AND ALL IS WELL, BUT STILL NOW WINE AND GO AT 1800 RPM ???????

When mine was drawing air in it was on the lines from the sedimenter.
It'd tickover fine and run alright at 30mph but put ya foot down and it'd bog down, stall and die.

Guess the fuel was turning to foam.

OK EVEN ATIT RUNS 70MPH BUT NO TURBO KICKS IN YET THE TURBOS SPINING FINE (I CHECKED IT WITH A MIRROR AND TORCH) THERE'S JUST NO get up and go.

Is the wastgate stuck open . Or the EGR valve. Both will have the effect of less power
