turbo on a series 3?

is it possible to fit a terbo onto a series 3 diesel?

Yes it can be fitted (any thing is possable with a landy),

But your engine will NOT take it!!

yup - yu will blow yo injun to bits - fit a 200TDi if yu want more power - easily done - loads of write-ups on how to do it.

yeah i think ill do that maybe not now, but in the near future, cheer for advice

Actually nah there isn't as far as I know...I was just thinking along the lines of there isnt much difference between the 2.25 and the 2.5 Diesel and then they turbo'd the Diesel 2.5...but then again the early 2.5 TD was prone to issues so no doubt if you turbo'd a 2.25 then you may have the same issues!

From memory piston & head, and neither were really up to the job, and the block was different to allow the opal feed & return to the turbo.

It is possible. I have a 109" 2.25 diesel with a oil cooler, turbo and intercooler mounted. I works perfectly well. Though you should be aware whether your engine has 3 or 5 main bearings. the one with 3 wont work.

do you have a wider exhaust on it?

the other option is a supercharger i was thinking about doing it for a laugh

I remember a while ago someone put a 5.7 Chevy Small block with a supercharger in a lightweight

beasty but no good offroad
