Me again, can you tell I'm new to the forum game?#
2004 TD4.
The plastic turbo duct which connects the mass air flow sensor to the turbo is connected at the MAF sensor end with 2 clips but appears to only be push fitted at the turbo end. Is that correct? It seems to be fairly insecure, I was expecting a more substantial fixing.

The MAF is to the left of the air filter and under the sir filter cover.

The large plastic part which is in front of the air filter on top of the engine is part of the air intake to the air filter. But it also has part if it which feeds the intercooler. The part which is just pushed in is on the air intake side.

See my photo

So the front bit is turbo, but the back bit is air intake.

Does that answer your question?

No, I think he is on about the U-shaped hard plastic duct the connects the MAF to the turbo.
It is normal to only be a push fit on the turbo - they are all like that as it is under suction, not positive pressure, so no chance of it blowing off.

Thanks guys. Yes Dave, I did mean to the hard plastic duct that connects the MAF to the turbo. I had the MAF off for a clean to try and cure rough running when I noticed the duct needed to be pushed back on to the turbo.
I'll post again with rough running symptoms, see if anyone can help me out.
