Turbo Delay

Hi, I've got a 300TDi (80k on the clock) and it's a lovely sounding engine (as good as they do sound anyway). I've noticed lately that it will rev up to just over 2k revs then all of a sudden the turbo cuts in like you've flipped a switch - similar to a v8 when wet running on 6 then firing on 8 at higher revs. i've seen the EGR blanking kit available, could that be the reason?? All input appreciated.

Maybe it's cos thats how your turbo works???!!!

Yeh, like I said, it's just recently it's happening - when it cuts in a nice cloud of diesel fumes cough out.... - Just want to know if it's it's the egr???

Usual problem with EGR valve is 'stuck open' so no, I wouldn't have thought that's causing your issue...
