Turbo boost box for td5

Just wondering how much difference a turbo boost box would make on my td5. Already have straight through exhaust with decat, egr removed, silicone hoses, any thoughts.

Get a remap done the popper way

I had a remap and still needed the boost box, Iirc boost then was just over 20psi.

Who should I look to, to get a proper remap, I live in the North West, thanks

A turbo boost box will not do what the title sounds like it will do.
It will not boost the turbo pressure.
The so called boost box is used to allow the ECU into thinking the boost pressure is lower than actual.
The ECU is constantly monitoring the Turbo Boost pressure along with many other sensors, if it finds an over-boot situation it switches the ECU into a limp home mode. This is a protective measure to save any damage that could be caused by a boost pressure over factory set criteria.
Engine tuners trying to gain an outright BHP gain will do a number of mods such as (what you have done) straight through exhaust with decat, egr removed, silicone hoses also add to this an improved intercooler which will allow an increase in airflow from the turbo and cool this turbo heated air more effectively.
Now from this position the next stage could be to increase the turbo boost pressure, there are a couple of ways this can be achieved, change to an improved turbo (a number of options on the market) or adjust the waste gate In effect altering the turbo pressure to the manifold. Both options will increase the boost pressure in the manifold but will have a negative effect on performance because the boost pressure sensor will inform the ECU of an over boost condition and switch onto the limp home mode to protect the engine. To stop this happening the boost box was developed it will fool the ECU into believing it is not in an over boost condition so not switch on the limp home mode.
Your question, Just wondering how much difference a turbo boost box would make on my td5. It will make no difference at all "unless you have made other mod's that will increase the turbo boost pressure".

Iirc all you have to do is adjust the wastgate shaft length and away you go, speak to Alive tuning or bel autos for the definitive answer
