hi all
i have been thinking of putting a turbo onto a 2.25 diesel for a lwb series 3
i just want to know if this has been done before or is this a no go zone.
i have fitted a turbo to an old toyota landcruiser many moons ago and i worked a treat- nearly double the power and used less fuel.
i will make a manifold and plumbing etc but is there any tricks to the pump? Is this viable or will it all fall out the sump with a stab on the go pedal?
Im after something a little different than just banging a 200tdi in.
sort of basterdised purist if you know what i mean.
Any and all comments welcome cheers

stupid idea, pistons wont take it ,what pump are you going to use ,since td is same block etc why not use it buy one recon it

was going to rebuild short block anyway, most new pistons these days are a lot better than old cast jobbies of yesteryear. Was going to try some sort of boost compensator but would probably just stick to low boost for the extra torque. might be a bit cleaner out the pipe too
could always wind up the boost to see what blows and then go from there hahaha :)
