Another vote for the synergy.

I have one on my Rover 75 (same M47R diesel engine as the Freelander Td4), it boosts mid range nicely and has even added a few MPG to my motor.

The piggy bank is being topped up in order to get one for the wife's Freelander some time this year

Synergy2a+ Way to go! :hippie:

Brilliant piece of kit - very easy to find the right setting. :)

Dash switch to select either 'eco' or 'power' setting clinches it for me. ;)

Not exactly cheap, but the best, most effective single mod I have done. :D

Not exactly flush with the old pennies at the mo but me mate has just fitted the pierburgh maf and temp compensator to his at the mo.Am looking to do the same unless anyone has any other ideas

Of you fit a Piersburg MAF you must fit either a Mafam or a Synergy or it will not work correctly - it is not the right spec for the vehicle with out electronic compensation

bought and fitted a tunit box last week. i am only running it on No4 and what a difference would reccomend to all.

I sell tunits (try to) they do work really well, I've set up my td5 one with a lap top. Problem is the price! You will in theory make it back on fuel savings, but it's a long term thing, most people only seem to think short term:(
Hate to be accused of spamming:) but if Landy Zone members got together and placed a decent sized order, I'd be able to offer a good discount. But for one offs there's nothing in them for resellers!
Go on shoot me for spamming. But it could be worthwhile for anyone interested? :)

mine has been fitted for 3 weeks now and i cant praise it enough more power smoother and most of all MPG before i was averaging about 37mpg, now averaging 41mpg, should be even better when i get the injectors reconed

is this the box in post 1, as I'm thinking of fitting one, as they are just down the road from me.

I don't think the two are the same box, if you want a tuning box look into the Synergy, it not only offers different power maps for the engine, it offers a MAF compensator which is very VERY useful on the BMW M47 engine as the standard MAF is very expensive and will fail at some point, anywhere between 30,000 miles and 70,000 depending.

Doing well then :)

Considering the fact that the MAF is effectively a wear part it will fail at some point, as such having a tuning box that allows the fitment of a cheaper and slightly more reliable part, over one that doesn't, is a plus to me :)

Tunit can't compensate for a worn or different MAF! That's quite an interesting concept tho, think I'll have to have a look at them. The tunit is programable with a laptop but the idea isn't for compensation.
