evening all,
started the strip down of my s2a project.. pulled out the load bay plywood the last owner fitted only to find holes in the floor of the tub. Can see it's a mix of spot welds and pop rivits to remove.. question is does it have to be replaced/refitted like for like for mot? Or can I use 2mm alloy plate and just pop rivit it to the edges/cross braces/top hat bits (oddly these are in good nick).
Cheers, James

shouldn't affect mot. if it was a worry could put some plywood in like before and tbey won't notice, but i'm not sure its a problem anyway.

you can buy a replacement here
Land Rover Defender 90 & Series SWB Rear Tub Floor - YRM Metal Solutions

might need these too
Land Rover Defender 90/Series SWB Rear Floor Support Top Hat - YRM Metal Solutions
on my floor the supports are fitted, in some cases the supports seem to be part of the tub

Mine is similar, and when it comes to it i'm just going to get a chequer plate cover and use that over the top
