I've had my Disco 2 for a few months now. I got it at a good price as it had some apparent faults: XYZ switch causing it to go into "limp home mode" regularly and the '3 amigos" occasionally showing as a fault. Here's a story for anyone who thinks they have these faults.

Last week I decided to get the air con re-gassed. Later I had some time on my hands so I decided to do the first thing one does when something isn't working: check the fuses. In the end I checked some fuses by removing them, the rest I just jiggled in their places.

What happened next is the important thing. All my faults seem to have gone. You can have your air con fixed if you think it'll work but I wonder how many of the faults people find hardest to track down are actually due to poor fuse connections?

Yes, it can make a big difference. I had some faults a few months ago that turned out to be a fuse which had suddenly developed 80 ohms resistance. So it checked out OK for continuity but wasn't letting various bits of the car do their jobs.
