Trouble with discovery td5

Hi guys hopefully im posting this in the right place,

I have been having trouble with my td5 today, it has been extremely wet weather and flooded roads, after going through a large puddle a mile or 2 down the road my traction control, ABS and hill descent control warning lights have all come on and they stay on, the car has been off for about 6hours all the warning lights stay on and it drove fine for 15miles but then, the car would not accelerate and it would just get slower and slower until it just quietly cuts out, once cut out it wont start again for another 5min or so and in order to get it to start it takes a while to start but it then kicks into life?

Any ideas what it could be? Feel free to ask questions if you need more info i will try and help.

Might be worth checking the ECU plugs are dry? - Can't see the connection between the symptoms otherwise, especially if you say the lights are staying on all the time (if I understand correctly)

First of all, check your air filter for ingress of water. If it's soggy and disintegrated, that may be your lack of power. Happened to me... mine doesn't like going too fast through water puddles...

Do you know anyone with a diagnostic set up to read the codes...

Yeah it happened last night and the ECU plugs in the battery box did have water on them, tried starting it this morning the first time it wouldn't start after about 10-15 seconds of cranking, left it for about 5 minutes and tried again it then fired up after about 10 seconds of cranking and ran smooth left it going for 5 minute and while i was sat in the car i could start to feel it almost vibrate (not quite vibrating but not full knocking i could just feel the body moving more then normal) it then smoothed out after about 5 more minutes and ran fine

Thanks i will check the air filter now and see if it is wet and report back, no i dont know anyone with a diagnostic set up unfortunately i am with the AA so i might see if they can pop out to diagnose

Okay i just checked the air filter the filter itself is quite damp and the air box dose have small amounts of water caught it some of the channels in the box

After removing the air filter it starts almost first time and did a quick drive and all seemed well hopefully that was the fix, going to pick up a new air filter now and hopefully that will solve it?

If your filter disintegrated, remove the hose to the MAF sensor, and check there is no debris in the plastic mesh screen.
