Transit Gearbox/Engine Oil change.

Using a bit of a loophole here, its about a ford transit but same engine

I need to give my transit an oil change and just wondering what the best oil is for the TDCi engine. There's a few transit forums kicking around but I don't like them. Its the 115ps.

Does anyone know if the transit has the same gear box as the defender? I would imagine it does. Mines a 6 speed, reverse above 1st. If so, again, does anyone know what the best oil to use is.

As I said, there is already information about this on transit forums, and I am sure here as well but just wanted to add those extra questions and figure LR owners know more than transit owners

I believe Castrol Magnatec is the oil that Ford recommend for the engine, I used Castrol Syntrans for the gearbox. I don't think it is the same gearbox, but I'm not 100%.

I understand it's same transmission... It's a Getrag 6 spd. I just picked up a 2010 Defender... 2.4 Diesel Getrag 6 spd. Go to the Tech-Shop section in this website and I've seen oil specs there. Good luck.
