Ive done a search on here and found some but not a lot of actual experience from owners of 110s who have fitted Disco 1.2 transfer boxes.
I recently had a 200tdi fitted to my ex MOD 110 and it pulls like a train but with its 1.6 transfer box it revs pretty high. Even at 60 on the motorway it feels like im pushing the engine too far. So in the new year im going to invest in a new transfer box. The question is do I go for 1.4 or 1.2? My old 200tdi 90 had 1.4 and I was pretty happy with that.
So the question is ... is a 1.2 too low for a 110? Most of the time i drive it unladen. The most weight I ever have in it is when I take it camping and it has all my camping gear in it. Does a 110 defender with 1.2 drive the same as a disco or is there more to it? Different diff ratios etc?
Is there anyone local to me (Herts) with a 110 fitted with 1.2 that woulnt mind taking me out in it for some real life experience before I part with a lot of money for a new transfer box.
