I've just bought (almost) a LWB series 3, which means I'll have to sell the Rangie.
Does this make me a bad person?

Keep the Both and sod the expense!!
Ah! There's a human in here!
CORRECT answer. Now, how do I explain this to the wife?
Investment, appreciating asset value, a good workhorse and 'lifeboat' car when the Rangie throws a wobbler, Don't want to mess up the Rangie, so the SIII is a good vehicle to clear the garden, clear the house for decorating (any other work that women like men to carry out etc)
That's the rationale I used to buy the Rangie.
I'm dead.
