I want to get one of these plates from IRB developments as it seems to tuck the electrics neatly into the rear crossmember:

Trailer Electrics Mounting Plate

This stainless steel plate allows you to easily mount your 7 or 13 Pin towing electric socket in the unless recess on your Td5/Tdci Defender Chassis.

However I can’t seem to check-out and nobody picks up the phone when I call. Does anyone know of something similar that exists (or have one that they no longer want that they’d be prepared to let go of?!)

Is that not the standard place for the plug? I doubt you really need a stainless steel mount, unless you want one of course.

On my Landy the trailer electrics are mounted to the tow bar hitch and there doesn’t seem to be any way of mounting it in that space in the crossmember without a bracket like this. Not specifically after a SS one but this is the only bracket I have found to mount it there

Do you have to use a plate to bring the socket out the hole so you can open it?
