Hello,
I have a 99 TD5 Discovery, with 100,000 on the clock, I’ve had it about a year and a half. My wife was driving it yesterday and complained that the ABS light came on, and then the TC light and Hill decent light also came on for no apparent reason on dry normal roads and also the brakes would hardly stop the car because the ABS was on almost permanently on. I then tried it myself and it started doing the same thing, only now within a few yards the traction control is kicking in and grabbing all four brakes intermittently, pulling the car in all directions. It done this for about 100 yard then all three lights came on and it drove normally, but without ABS working. I tried it a few times, both on the road and in the field and it seems to getting worse. In the past about 1 year ago the lights were coming on intermittently, I changed a front hub and that cured it. I had a quick look at the front left hub and ABS sensor yesterday because it seems like the first one to grab, but everything seems ok. I know I'll have to take it and get it plugged in at some point, but any one any suggestions or similar experiences, before I start pulling all wheels and hubs off.
Cheers Mike.
