Can anybody help, I've got a 55 TD4, fitted a recon viscous unit...a couple of days later had to change the clutch because it burnt out because I were practising reversing our new 27ft twin axle caravan...this weekend we took the caravan out for its first trip and all was well until I got in the car for work this morning and the traction control light was lit along with the hill decent warning light was lit. pressed the button but no green light came on...Answers on a post card please :-D

Thanks Bigeee,
I have looked and I think its summit to do with the brake light switch, I have tried the brake lights and they dont come on, getting my mechanic to have a look tomorrow

Thats very useful Bigeeee, sounds like you may have found a cure to my problem, dont suppose you know a cure for my freelander to pull my huge caravan?

and drinks fuel :p

Seriously it sounds like your clutch was on the way out anyway if you knackered it that easily! It was probably slipping during the normal towing run too.

I dont have any problems with my Auto ;)

Sounds like you're right on the edge of it's towing limit. Nothing you can do about that other than swap it for a discovery or range rover. May I suggest a disco 3? A lot of kit for your money and will pull a house over.

As said above, the clutch was probably already going. Have you put in a heavy duty one?
