My Discovery failed her test earlier one fault was a TRE question will a Series one do are they the same size and thread? As I have two in the house somewhere.

Depends which TREs. Some are threaded all the way, some have a shoulder on them. Fit them in the wrong tubes and they don't clamp up safely.
