Guys, thanks for all the help regarding the brakes. I'm waiting for the parts to arrive.

I am currently searching for this part marked with the red rectangle. Has anyone seen it being sold separately? Thanks again for all Your help!!

Thanks a lot, a good link! They don't have that particular part, but if I can't find the original one, I will consider getting something else from them

I cut my own out of 2mm thick Ali plate. I got sick of the 1mm steel ones rusting through.
