Hi all

Recently scrapped off my old td4 freelander 1 and replaced it with a range rover evoque 2013 2.2 td4 and I'm wanting to fit a tow bar are the electrics plug and play like the old freelander rear will it need to be programmed only wanting the electrics for the lights

It'll depend on how sensitive the new tow bar kit and vehicle electrics are.
Some kits will just accept the connections to the existing light wires on the car.
More and more modern vehicles need to be programmed to change brake performance and cooling patterns which are sensitive to load, also to automatically cancel reverse sensors when a trailer or caravan is attached..
