Good morning folks, quick question, as I have to replace TC is there a particular part no for 2005 L322 TD6 3L Torque converter??
Or is it possible to recon old one and roughly how much

It is possible to get them cut in half and welded . put back together with new internals and bearings,,, Price

Would depend on what needed replaced ....Think youtube will prob have a vid

there are reconditioned ones out there, the bigger question would be why does it need replacing and has it deposited gearbox destroying material into the gearbox

Drain the gearbox and look for "glitter " in the oil.

There might be magnets in the sump pan that catch floating metal swarf,,There is in the p38 auto gearbox ,You need to remove bottom pan to get at them

Yes there is a magnet. How many miles are on the gearbox? general census of opinion is over around 80K worth thinking about a gearbox rebuild.
Mine was around £1500 for gearbox and TC recon fitted.
