Top Front Intercooler hose replacement

Went to change my top front intercooler hose but was hindered because of metal and the position. I read up on this and it says i would have to take bumper off etc. Is there an easy way to do it that i have missed?

how I did mine was to remove the easy end first, then stuff the hose back down the side of the engine which then gave me enough space to get on the jubilee clip with a pair of pliers. just made it loose enough to spin the jubilee clip round to get a screwdriver on it.

when I put it back, I put the jubilee clip at a better angle which made it easier. About a fortnight after, I found a flexible drive screwdriver with a socket head in a pound shop or similar which was just the ticket and let me nip the clip up a bit more.

next time, the easy end which I could reach failed before the end I couldn't so it must have been okay how I did it.

I must say that they have put it in an unfortunate position to get at. I was trying to force the jubilee clip round so i could get at the screw but to no avail. I shall have another bash tomorrow I think and hopefully will be able to get it out.

I used a screwdriver bit set with a socket attachment & fitted a small socket to to a flexible drive to the handle which made the job fairly easy.
