Meant to be getting the motor back tommorrow so i rang the garage to tell him im at work and can he drop it round work for me (1/4 mile). Only to find out that its not actually on the road yet, still needs its test, and its gonna be tuesday now.

That's not true. You decide to do a job, start it, find 100 other things which are wrong and try and correct them, then the misses reminds you that you promised to paint the hall or take her shopping or something and then its next week and your landie is still in bits blocking the drive and then it will snow.
