Hi,

I have a 1968 Series 2a with headlights inside not on wings.

All the springs are 11 leaf. The rears are shagged so need replacing. I have been offered a set from a SWB but these are 9 leaf! Anyone know what is standard?

It's a SWB with a tilt and a 2.5 Freight Rover diesel.

Now no talking bollox, para or otherwise :p

You say that the springs are shagged.

Does that mean that they are broken or are they simply tired?

Have you considered swapping the top 3 leaves from the 9 with those on your 11?

You should be able to swop the complete pair of springs over.

If me memory is as good as it once was, the 11 leaf was used for the military option, whilst the 9 was civvy.

James??

My bad, by shagged I mean that they are pretty rusted together, bending the wrong way and the clamps are open.

The military aspect is interesting as although I believe the Landy is a civvy it does have a military rear crossmember.

If 9 is original then I guess it's OK to put 9s on especially as it's a tilt.

Cheers
