To LPG or to TD5, that is the question

Hi all

I'm looking to buy an approx 2000 reg Discovery but am undecided on whether to buy a TD5 or search for a 4 ltr V8 which has been LPG'ed.

I thought i would ask any of you experts if you would recommend one or the other - i like the idea of the LPG but have nagging doubts over if it is really good for the engine and is the V8 a significant performance improvement over the diesel or is it just more refined!!!!!

so many questions . . . .

V8 is cheaper to run and wont breakdown either

I've just bought a 4ltr LPG Disco II and serious love it!!

I was quite surprised that a comparable age / condition LPG Disco is slightly cheaper than a TD5 espeically as the specs (as a general rule) are significantly better on the V8's I've seen advertised
