.. start off with a joke, get.. them.. laughing..

Hello.

This is my first forum ever, really bad with making introductions.

I need to buy a Defender in the next 2/3 weeks, i'm hoping it will be quite the discovery and not out of my range..

However i've been told not to ask questions on my intro. All on second message then i imagine.

I genuinely hope you Defender gurus out there will be able to help

Look forward to it.

Thanks

Steve

So..

I was going to buy a new one, but 'life' happened and now i need to buy a cheaper one outright.

Thinking £5k - £9k, i know it will be of a worse standard but don't mind a little project.

What i would like is some advice on Musts and Must Nots of buying one within that standard of range..

Show me your knowledge please guru's!

Thank you very much.

Steve

I'd buy a good 300TDi, run it on Biodiesel and have as much fun as all other landy owners but on the cheap. Put the money saved towards upgrades etc. Job Done.
