I have just read a thread about door locks and a problem with a new lock I have just had a new drivers side door lock fitted as it had failed Now I cannot lock the car with the hand set but can open it with it I have to lock it with the key Any suggestions as I have had it fitted at Main Dealer in France

If the main dealer fitted it, the simple answer is take it back as they have not done the job properly. It would help if you put you location as some one nearby may be able to help.

Take it back to the dealer who fitted it, I would guess they haven't connected the central locking actuator up properly.
