Thrust Bearing

Hi all, well my clutch is making a funny noise when i press down the pedal to engage gear

So i guess the Thrust Bearing is on its way out.....clutch seems fine tho......so my question is........

How easy is it to change the clutch/pressure plate & bearing on my 2004 1.8

Really cant be **cked with this at the mo tho.....but as i am skint/not working at the moment i will have to give it a try

mine has been making a noise between 2-3k revs and goes when clutch pressed ive left mine until it goes altogether and ive done 1k miles and still going

why? clutch release bearings can be noisy for ages... mine has been noisy for rthe last 6 years - everytime i press the clutch... still works fine .. leave it.

Thats it....i'm convinced (didnt take much)...it will be left till it dies or i sell the bugger

Well its a lot worse today, sometimes you can feel a 'shuddering' thru the pedal when the clutch is pressed....noisy too....so rather than what people have suggested & leave it it does look like i am going to have to stick it into a garage...now, does anybody know what i should expect a small non dealer garage to charge for this including the complete kit??????

why dont you do it yourself - not so difficult for somebody with a bit of experience
hardest part is handling the weight of the boxes
