Disco 2 Threadlock

I don't use threadlock all that often on any of my vehicles - when I use it it's mainly been on brakes; I use the "blue" bottle (be it Loctite or Permatex) - never the "red" bottle. When I go to put the cylinder head back on after testing/machining, are there any bolts I should be routinely using threadlocker on? I didn't notice any mention of threadlock in Haynes or RAVE.

I usually go on the principle of copying whatever Landover did, if you take a bolt out with threadlocker on put it back in with some on, but that probably doesn't help much. The blue stuff(usually medium strength) is fine for 90% of things.

Recall a mate telling me never to use threadlocker on head bolts? Wonder why that is?

They were right, head bolts never need thread locker, the torque their done up to is easily sufficient to stop them coming undone. With thread locker they'd probably shear when undoing them.
