Looking at getting a new set of shocks for my series 3. Have heard good things about procomp on other vehicles but has anyone used these on a series 3 and if so what are they like?

Read some reviews but they are for jeeps which have a different suspension setup (on coils). The fronts on mine are explorer shocks (old ones) and the backs are britpart standard (not keen on these now since I bought 2 new britpart shocks and they didnt work at all out of the box) so looking to replace.

If not the procomps which would you recommend? (the series is running on parabolics atm so shocks need an extension of around 50mm/ 2" to standard although I think standard ones can be used )

procomp es3000 are very good shocks I have 2 land rovers with them fitted and I cant fault them compared to #hitpart they are so much better bigger better bigger piston bigger stronger rod far better than standard thoroughly recommended and if your running parabolics defiantly get the extended versions (they don't cost anymore)

Ok thanks :) Found some extended ones on paddocks so will order some :)

I got the extended ones from Paddocks and I find them a perfect combination with my GB Parabolics - had them on about 2 years now and very good road manners , but with plenty of give for a bit of gentle RTV trialling as well

just took these off mine:

fitted a cheap oem set for now until I go fully parabolic
I have to admit my ride is rather comfy though!

when you next put your rubber boots on you might want to cut them down a bit cause they use the same ones for the es3000 and es9000 and they fill up with water and s#it much like yours have there, cable tie and a bit of sillicon around the top and down the bottom just a cable tie so sh#t can still escape
