Yep it certainly ain't right ....

Just how dumb do these people think we are. Its not a '68, 88" and never has been. Its a nicked 200tdi with a dodgy plate and can no way be legit.

The rear tub is definitely from an 88'', Defenders dont have the fuel filler caps in the position that is shown on the photo, Chances are it probably is genuine and the guy has just modified it slightly

Then it should be on a Q plate
Identifiable defender bits:
Bulkhead
Doors
Dash
Windscreen
Roof
Front wings
front panel lights etc
Its coil sprung
the rear crossmember is defender not series

We have no pictures of the left hand side of the vehicle but I bet it has a 200tdi hole in the front wing to match up with the heater.

I'd like to bet the wheelbase is 92" not 88"

I still say ringer until we get more provenance.

personally (from all the different coloured panels) id say its a RRC/Disco chassis shortened to 88" and defender body mounts and X-member, defender LT77 box, 88" tub and defender front panels. id hedge my bets on it being built from scatch then a series ID shoved on it...

now if they were being clever they would of used series x-member and panels (with defender floor) and kept the recessed grille then the majority wouldnt batt an eye-lid and would of been a nice usable motor!
