I think it's more mauve than purple but certainly stands out.

Being a Scout Leader, my opinion that the colour is very close to the purple in the Scout Badge. It was owned by a Lytham St. Annes Troop for 15 years. To me it's the Purple Beast. Mauve beast - I think not.
