Afternoon all

Now my P38 is completely standard apart from a modified L322 grille and converted to LPG.

I only have 1 gripe and that's the wheels. She's currently sitting on 18" hurricanes and I really don't like 'em, they look just too "busy", if that makes sense.

Now, I was trawling through ebay and there is a chap flogging 18" comets (think they were an option on Disco 2's).

Question is (and I know this is subjective) does anyone have these fitted to their p38, how do they look and more importantly, does anyone have piccies of them fitted.

I've tried paintpot & photoshop but it just looks crap (I'm not much of a techhie)

The Hurricane wheel was actually a very popular wheel for the P38. The Comet is really much the same in that it's 5 spoke but without the gap inbetween each of the spokes so not really much of a change. If you want a plainer wheel why don't you try the three spoke one, can't remember what they are called but they look good on the P38 as well and were a standard fit. Plenty on ebay for £100 a set. Personally I have L322 wheels on mine, 10 spoke 18" as fitted to 2007 models. They are a subtle upgrade. Despite what I said earlier I took off my Hurricanes to fit them though but I will refit them when I come to sell it down the line and sell the newer ones separately.

I saw a set ( the only set iv ever seen ) on eBay a while ago, that were 6 or 8 spoke and looked like split rims with bolt heads between the spokes, they were listed as original land rover, they were really nice

blimey, that was quick.

I really like the look of yours Nick, mine a 2001 and in oslo blue as well.

Right, decision made. A set of 18" comets for me. The pirelli scorpions I have will transfer (all got at least 5-6mm of tread) then there will be a set of 18" Hurricanes up for grabs

Cheers again for speedy response
