A friend of mine is selling his RR. Its a 97R with 130k miles. The paint and body work look to be in good conditon and its clean inside.

It does have a few typical problems:

No heating on passenger side (Blend motors?)
Passenger window doesnt close or open properly
A few warnings on the display inlcuding the handbook sign.
Central locking works by key only.
Had service history up to 110,000 but none since then.

He wants £2500 for it. Given the problems mentioned above, I think its a fair price - What do you think?

Thanks for any feedback,

Jim

I bort a 97 (r) for £2000 105,000, just needs a new geabox sump, £2500 dont sound a bad price depending on condition but whats it gonna cost to put the problems right?

£1.5k - £2k. Got a 4.6 if you want it. Not even hit 80K miles, just serviced, runs sweet as. nearly new tyres, just taxed. No work needed. Yours for £4k :D

Slipped liners can happen at any stage. Usually starts from overheating issues. Mine stays just under the middle, no matter what. Even in this hot wether we've had, it didnt go above it :p I looks after my cars I do.

Also, the one previous owner from me lived in london, so it probably hasnt had the nuts revved off it.

 a 4.6 v8 never had the nuts revved off it? the temptation to occasionally put ones foot down is too much for even the lightest footed drivers :D

I must say, I usually am light footed, but theres so many A-roads combined with old doddlers round here, I have been guilty of it a few times.
