hi guys just looking for any guidence or a check list of things to do to get a 71 lightweight back up and running. its been sat on my drive for the last 15yrs not started. the last i did to it was new radiator, replacement rear cross member and new brake cylinders and hubs but not touched it since.
i guess im looking for advice on what to check/do to get it running and and in what sort of order,,any tips would be great thanks :)

I'd try and turn the engine over by hand first just to make sure it hadn't seized. Id probably have a jump pack or car to jump off for first start, check the oil level and have some fresh fuel. I'd also drain the fuel system before trying to start.

I won't expect the seals in the brakes/clutch to be up to much after that long, so a full replacement might be necessary too

1 fire extinguisher, 1 can of easystart. 1 Ignition key. In that order. We need video of your first attempt. :D

If it fires up, switch it off and check/change oil, water, fuel. Then fire it up again and allow to run up to temperature keeping your eye on everything.

Next step will be seeing if you can get a gear and make it move a few feet and stop it...................... Good luck ;)

Assuming it's petrol, cleaning and setting the spark plugs, points, rotor arm and dizzy contacts would help.
