Thermostat plastic screw thingy is Crrrap

Can I get a brass or metal version for both the termostat and the rad???
Damn near stripped it trying to get the blighter off!

Your landy is much newer than mine, mines a 1992 engine wise.
I found the plug on the rad is normal plumbing type thread (bsp) and my local plumbing shop sold me one suitable. I was in a rush though and needed one that day although I knew about the paddocks brass type, I couldn't wait for delivery. I bet a lR Indy would have them as well cos its a common problem.

Really a standard plumbing fit? Right I'm off to plumb base then. Cheers for that.

Changed mine for standard radiator plugs with bleed screws, makes bleeding even easier. Just make sure they are taper threads not parallel.

Post up what you get from plumbase as the plastic cap is ****e on mine aswell

Good and cheap idea will get 2 of them from the plumbers in work next week.

Still twice the price of craddock though but for fora couple of quid who cares!
