The Search Is On

Hi Guys

The hunt is on, to say the mileage and price was sweet, the pics looked as though it was in good order... travelled over 70miles to have a look see

Was really looking forward to seeing this one, but my hopes where dashed when I set eyes on it.. what a dog

Besides the nasty tan coloured leather, there where scratches and scuffs every where and it looked as though the previous owner couldnt drive if his life depended on it,

Every bumper corner had been scuffed, the rear N/S bumber light had been smashed and N/S rear had been pranged.

After 5 mins of looking something told me to take a long walk away from this one and as we pulled away into the sunset.... that bumper didnt sit straight.... so on with my search for a disc

Just goes to show pictures via the net can hide an array of things

I looked at about 15 Discos before buying mine, I'm sure others on here have done the same. Patience, patience and more patience.

When you do finally buy one try not to drive it into a water ditch covered in snow - be a shame to damage it

When i got a TD5 i wanted a ES, low miles, silver and mint condition with FSH. Looked for ages. In the end i found one in my home town at a dealers. Keep looking and save travelling by asking over the phone about scratches, dings and interior condition etc. They should come clean if they are honest enough.
