This year with James Bagnall we will be driving from the UK to Cape Town going thru Europe and down the east coast of Africa. . Last year i spent a month living and working with an orphanage in Malawi and leaft with a determination to go back to this beautiful country and help make a difference, this trip with the help of the MOD is the result of that dream. The country of Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and with one of the highest proportion of orphans to adults in the world. This is because of the ongoing aids and HIV problems in the airya. We aim to raise money for medic Malawi who help develop orphanages, education and structure to help stabilise this countries situation.
We will be travelling thru 18 countries, Uk, France, Spain, Morocco , Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and south Africa. We are planning to spend around 4 months on the road, visiting hospitals and orphanages such as St Andrews hospital and orphanage in Mtunthama.
we have a web page The Malawi Trip and a fackbook group 'the malawi trip'
the more support we get the better. were aiming to raise as much money as possibly, maby later on this year if people are up for it ile try hold a 4x4 day or weekend and proceeds will all go to the charity
