I have a late D2 and I do not see why I should not be waved at, no extra lights yet, but I have de EGRed it and a decat downpipe is ready to be fitted.

Is it just me that thinks waving at some f***er just because he's driving a similar car to you is bloody ridiculous? And bitching because someone hasn't waved at you is even worse. I'm embarrassed to own a bloody Land Rover sometimes.

If fender and series drivers didn't have the camaraderie that we do then we're less inclined to help each other when we need it. I had a guy in a cracking done up defender pull me off a busy roundabout when my diff went, luckily enough he was driving past at the time whereas any other car owner wouldn't have bothered to stop. I didn't have a clue who he was and he even said if you haven't got help phone me and I'll tow you home. Luckily enough I sorted it and got home but the guy even phoned me later to make sure I was sorted alright. How many slitty or Ford owners would do that?

Where exactly is the roundabout where you get pulled off please...?

despite the many land rover defenders/series driving around in rural Milford haven that i see on my jaunts as a service agent down there and normally nobody waving at me when i wave i was quite surprised yesterday when a defender 110 with a ladder on top waved first

If someone waves to me I'll wave back but I then spend the next five minutes thinking "who the F**k was that?". Stopping to help is a completely different matter and has got nothing to do with waving like a tit every time you see a Land Rover. Maybe I'm getting old but when I see a fashion victim driving past with all the "essential" kit I tend to think "what a knob" these days.

I don't wave at discos

I've got a Disco 2 & a Defender. If I'd stopped to help in my Disco (which I like to remain standard, but has everything I need for a recovery in the boot) would you refuse cause its just a Disco...:p
