hello again sorry if this has been posted already but how much and how do i adjust the fuel diaphram on 300tdi? had it all the covers off then found i didnt know what i was doing

it does make a big difference, try starting with about 45 degree clockwise first and see how it feels, dont forget to scribe a start point so you know where the factory setting is,as i said it will smoke a bit more on full throttle but it shouldnt be to bad at 45 and will give you noticably more power

that nut just holds the rubber diaphram onto the pin, after you've scribed a marker point gently lift the edge of the diaphram and pull it out (you may have to wiggle it a bit)now rotate the required deg put it back in,put the cover back on and job done.
sometimes they do rotate with out lifting it out so try that first

to do it right there is quite a bit more to tuneing a tdi engine first you must understand wot dus wot and remember if its smoking your just wasting fuel
have a look at this it is very intersting
http://www.stonefisk.com/doc-arc/def_man/ThermoGuard_Tdi_Tuning_Rev.2.pdf and but very very important make shure you record every change you do somhow in order to return to factory seting if you decide to which i suspect you will
and dont get greedy for powder you can realy make 300 shift but remember its a 2 tone lump of iron not a racing car and all that power has to go somwhere
one of my staf wound his pump up so far it wud spin all 4 wheels on tarmak which he thought was awsome for power sliding round carparks infront of teenage girls but ges wot hapend???
3 gearboxes 2 transfer boxes and lost count on difs and props later he decided to turn it bak down agen
